So the blog will certainly not be disappearing anytime soon.james boutinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09625944306253098621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113479300897983388.post-68106317778907748862011-05-11T15:49:38.983-04:002011-05-11T15:49:38.983-04:00Although we have never met, I feel like I'm sh...Although we have never met, I feel like I'm shadowing your moves. I taught on the West Coast, came to DC, thinking about NYC, and ultimately back to the west coast. Best of luck in all that you do. I know I'll still be looking towards your blog. Also, saw this today in my own job search and instantly thought of you.

http://www.datacommunicationsjobs.com/career/129555/Education-School-Advocates-Part-Time-Work-From-Home-Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00117125222900043654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113479300897983388.post-17207848508605474862011-05-11T13:25:24.266-04:002011-05-11T13:25:24.266-04:00Yes, please keep blogging! My advice is to find a job where you feel relaxed and fulfilled. I know I told you that I tried several different teaching positions until I found the one (teaching first grade) that felt "right." I felt eager and excited to go to school each day and that's how you should feel.

Although I enjoyed teaching low-income children I would not recommend it at the present time because these teachers are being blamed for conditions beyond their control. I hope you accept a postion in an affluent Seattle school where the test scores will always be high and the parents (usually) grateful and cooperative.Linda/RetiredTeacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01613269510654597179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113479300897983388.post-6031434073592500132011-05-11T10:09:34.415-04:002011-05-11T10:09:34.415-04:00I think your move back to the West Coast sounds li...I think your move back to the West Coast sounds like a smart idea. When I was a teacher, I worked in one school where I actually became sick from the stress - not a good situation. After I left that school, I realized there was no need to live that way. I'm sure the same will be true for you and that you'll find a great fit at a school in Seattle.

Hope you keep blogging - I enjoy reading your posts!Attorney DCnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113479300897983388.post-9491157426877465422011-05-11T09:18:29.895-04:002011-05-11T09:18:29.895-04:00Take care of yourself first! I once has an administrator tell me, "This place will still run if you're dead and gone." And she's right, I didn't realize that until someone actually verbalized it! I hope the move is a good one for you.Inner City School Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14488876224344662116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5113479300897983388.post-67647331349388972692011-05-11T07:13:20.501-04:002011-05-11T07:13:20.501-04:00I too wish you all the best.
